We, the Undersigned, to hereby petition the Miner Alumni Association to halt the scheduled demolition of the Uptown Theater at 1100 N Pine St. in Rolla. The Uptown is a unique art deco historic structure that has served countless students, alumni and local residents since it was built in 1941. It deserves to be preserved. Again, we urge the Miner Alumni Association to halt the proposed demolition of the Uptown Theater.

    • The Uptown is our only venue in Rolla for concerts. If the Uptown is demolished, we will have nowhere to hold concerts, and student entertainment in Rolla will suffer, and enrollment will follow.
