The USC Office of Student Affairs should denounce the actions of UCPD at Berkeley

The students of the University of Southern California urge the Office of Student Affairs to vehemently condemn the actions of the University of California, Berkeley’s Police Department and associated authoritative bodies. In particular, we call on the Office to denounce the instances of police brutality against students who are peacefully protesting. This unwarranted use of force has compromised the safety of countless students and undermines the right of free expression. The actions we specifically oppose can be seen in the following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buovLQ9qyWQ This petition does not reflect student opinion on the proposed changes of the UC system, rather the needless violence at the hands of the UC Berkeley Police Department.
