Are you the Author?
We, The Undersigned, urge the University of San Francisco to negotiate in good faith with the Professors of the University of San Francisco. We support the efforts of the USFFA to negotiate a new contract which asks for reasonable demands for salary and benefit increases. We firmly disagree with the University's offer to the Professors and exhort the University to provide wages which will keep up with the cost of living in the San Francisco Bay Area.

    • We should invest in our professors, not just our buildings on campus. The professors are the ones that change the lives of students. The professors are the ones that show us the world and inspire us to see our role within it, a role which upholds the Jesuit ideals of working toward social justice for all of humanity. The professors should be supported with means that will sustain them throughout an ongoing context of national economic turmoil, especially since USF currently has the funding to do so. USF should strive toward equity.
