Shame on us!

This year Himachal did not have a tableau at Rajpath on Republic Day. We tried to get an answer from the spokesperson at Himachal Bhawan. They did not have any excuse to offer.

A few days ago only, we were talking about marketing ourselves yet there was no presence at Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and again at the Republic Day. Do we have nothing to showcase?

Please sign this petition and ask for some plain answers from the Himachal Pradesh government on why himachal's participation is not ensured in such events.

- Himachal has maintained a low key affair for long. Belive me, Uttaranchal will take over us in terms of development and all. The growth rate in tourism is just mere 2 per cent. Even Ford's entry has run into rough weather. BJP creating problems. I don't think Modi had ever any problem inviting NRIs and foreigners to rake in investment in Gujarat. Then why in Himachal? But then the government too is to be blamed, which is missing on opportunties like the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas to attract investment. But it was a shame when we did not see a tableau on Republic Day this year. Forget the foreigners... don't we have anything to showcase to Indians itself? Isn't there anything we can be proud of? Have we run out of steam. or are we so self-contended that we can suffice with January 25 and April 15 and care less to participate with the nation on January 26?

- If the people of HP do not care about their rights, why do you think the government will? There is no hope left from politicians. All are sold and believe me let the big corp. come and they will be sold in such a manner that common person would be just dirt. But all in all so many times we ask all of you to join and form a large group so that we can take care of our rights, but how many of you people listen. Every one has their own agendas, no HIMACHAL agenda. Till that time brothers have fun, no one care about you, no matter how many petitions you sign. What happened to Saurabh Kalia petition. Nothing.

- It was really shocking to not find tableau at Rajpath.The parade admn. didn't consider The Himachal tableau suitable for Parade .The Sate Govt.was so busy in preparation of 25th jan. that it culdn't devote time for the republic day.
