PETITION TO GET WALL-E NOMINATED FOR BEST PICTURE OF 2008:

We, the undersigned, would like to petition the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sceinces to nominate WALL-E for BEST PICTURE, 2008. Though there have been some exceptional movies so far this year there but there have been few which can be called a classic. With WALL-E, things have just changed. WALL-E isn't only the best film of 2008 so far, it is a pure masterpiece. From start to finish, the film wraps you in utterly delightful charm and humanity. WALL-E is a piece of inventive beauty and wonder unlike any other that you will see at the cinema this year.

The term of "cinematic genius" can also be applied to the iconic character of WALL-E and the fantastic direction by Andrew Stanton. Stanton shows that he is willing to inject some risk into his movie-making if it makes a better film. This decision pays off magnificently here. Stanton has lovingly constructed this film with invention, depth and bravura, and in doing so has crafted a piece of movie making which is likely to go down as a family classic. Not only will children be enthralled by the sheer brilliance of this film, but other audiences will also be open to its bewitching magic.

The amazing score by Thomas Newman is a masterpiece of emotion and conjures up such raw emotion from the viewer whilst there is no dialogue taking place. The music BECOMES the dialogue of the film and carries it through so majestically you forget where you are.

Please take the time to consider this film for BEST PICTURE and do the world a favor by giving us back beauty, grace and gentility to a world full of everything but.
