We the undersigned are extremely disappointed in the Wal-Mart company for it's plans to eliminate the arts & crafts sections from their stores. In some small towns Wal-Mart's craft section is the only place to buy these kinds of supplies. By removing this section from your stores many Americans will no longer have access to supplies for their hobbies. Wal-Mart's craft section has always been cheap and affordable to crafters who had a small budget. Taking away this section hurts, and in some areas kills, artist hobbies. Please reconsider this decision that hurts and limits so many American crafters. Keep the craft sections in your stores and keep your customers happy.

- I spend around $200 a month in the craft area. I must constantly replenish my supplies. If the loss of the craft area is truly due to wanting to expand your electronic area as some employees have stated, I just want you to know, that I may spend around$100 a year in the area. Dont close it down. Its very much needed, even in a city the size of Denver, CO.

- your craft section was the cheapest around ,why spoil a good thing. Do you realize that this dept in your store is removing a generational learning process from grandmother to daughter to granddaughter. You are ridding women of part of their history . Crafts and sewing are things handed down from one woman to another. There have been times that this has what kept me sane.

- I just think that it is a terrible idea to do away with the craft section. The are many craft stores as well as stores that have a craft department going out of business--I think it would be a bad financial decision for Wal-Mart. You are going to lose customers if you get ride out the department, but you will be gaining more faithful customers in the long run. When another store shuts down and someone needs a dependable store with a range in variety...they will come to Wal-Mart. I think it is something worth Wal-Mart considering. I live in Bellefountaine, OH and there is a Wal-Mart 30 miles away were my father lives in Kenton, OH. Kenton's Wal-Mart decided a while back to "do away" with their craft department. My father and mother now are faithful customers at another store. Wal-Mart, for the most part has great employees, helpful employees and managers, a good set-up of the store, great prices, and you can pretty much get everything that you need there. I think it should stay that way.

- My nearest Walmart has already lost the fabric section and I hate it, now I have to drive 35 miles to the next closest Walmart! Walmart is the only place that I can get my craft supplies without having to drive an 1-1.5 hours away. I have a very hectic work schedule and can't always make such a trip. If you take out all craft sections my side business and my hobbies will likely die. Please keep the craft and fabric sections in all Walmart stores!!!!

- Think of all the small towns, that you have run the competition out of town, those people have no where to shop!!!

- Please reconsider the removal of the fabrics also. I live in a rural area with the closest & best selection of material being my favorite WalMart 30 miles away.
