I have care-giver rights to my 3-month old grandson, whom the Office of Child Services pulled from my daughter for neglect. However, in dealing with OCS and the Foster Care agency, I am the one who is treated like I did my grandson wrong. Now I completely understand why more people do not take part in the Foster Care Program. They do not take consideration for his schedule or mine; they just call and say they have an appt for such a date and at what time. Knowing we live 30 minutes from town, they space appointments apart to where we have to stay in town all day with a 3 month old. Then they dont even show up for the appointments, without notifying me or anybody else! How professional is this? Are these people really trained enough to hold the lives of our children in their hands? I am treated very rudely as if I am the one who neglected my grandson, and this is totally uncalled for. I am the care-giver, I am the one putting my whole day on hold to fit around their schedule, and I still get treated rudely. This is why there are not more volunteers for the Foster Care program, and something needs to be done about this. The way these people act unprofessionally is causing our foster children stable homes. Please sign this petition so that something can be done about this.

- This behavior is really uncalled for, the caregivers are not the abusers
