Loyal fans of the Wire have followed this ground breaking drama for three years and 37 episodes. It has been one of the most honest looks at the urban jungle on television or in a movie, EVER. We ask that HBO renews it for a fourth season and also move it back to the summer where it has less competition from Football and major network's fall shows.

    • The Wire is with out a doubt the best show on tv period. I have never seen a more well written show and such an excellent ensemble of actors. No the wire does not get the popular acclaim of Sex and the City or the Sapranos, but this show is so incredibly realistic it's simply not a show for everyone. But those of us who been loyal fans the the past three seasons love it like no other tv program we have ever watched. Please renew the wire for another season !!!!

    • Please renew this amazingly well written and thought provoking show. There are some viewers out here who want to be challenged and even inspired by the heights that this show aims towards. We understand that ratings are important but there has to be a "Middle Ground". There has to be a place where were people who are not in the "mainstream" can go as well. I thought that HBO was not TV...I thought that it was groundbreaking. I am hoping that HBO will be the bold station that it has been hyped as and support the efforts of this phenomenal show. I hope that HBO supports quality entertainment. Please show that there is space in this industry for smart, honest, hard hitting programming. Be what you say you are. Don't be TV...be HBO. Thank you for taking the chance you have taken with this show and please continue your support, as we viewers continue to support you.

    • The Wire isn't just another series. it's a novel. tru dat. HBO excells at innovative. it's not tv, it's HBO. tru dat. it doesn't seem to be in HBO's character to not finish the book, re; the job. so,i'm a little suspicious about this whole "not coming back thing". this wirehead even likes the hype. more folks see the show than shows up in ratings (shared tapes) come to mind. get Season One into blockbuster and you'll see.

    • How can you think of cancelling this show. This is by far the best show on television and one of the best shows ever. I love how everyone complains about the mindless things on television and then when a thought provoking show such as this one comes around it gets put on the chopping block. Please do not cancel this show.
