It has come to the attention of many of my colleagues and others around the world that not only have wolf pelts and carcasses been auctioned off on eBay, but also that now HUNTS for wolves are being offered, one of which that has drawn particular attention has been offered "for charity". When approached about the auction in question, the seller responded very rudely and indignantly.
It is a rather well-known fact that certain species of wolves are indeed endangered species, and it should be very clear to the persons in charge of enforcing rules on eBay that they are in violation of one of their own rules by allowing the sale of such carcasses and pelts, and that allowing the sale of hunts of animals is purely unethical and barbaric. If the auction of hate group regalia is banned, then surely something as equally barbaric should be banned as well.
We, the undersigned, firmly believe that allowing such barbaric acts to continue is a travesty of justice for all creatures on this Earth and that doing so may lead to boycotts of the entire auction community who allows this.

    • The auction of a wolf hunt is beyond acceptable regardless the reason. most species of wolf are listed formally as endangerd species. Hunting of wolves is a disruption to the balance of nature. Help put a stop to this outrage by signing this petition!

    • How noble to hunt wild wolves into further extinction by hunting with rifles and snowmobiles. Don't you people have better things to do with your time? You should change your slogan to killing the spirit of the wild. How sick.

    • Wolves are a rare predator and necessary for a healthy ecosystem. Being a resident of Western Canada I've seen first hand the effects of destroying a local wolf population. Hunting predators is barbaric, and profiteering off of any part of that barbarism is unethical and insulting.

    • Conding these sort of actions for charity is wrong.. and a kids camp?!?! That is like teaching kids to go out and shoot animals and people wonder why they get endangered?! Enough bad things are shown on the net without adding to them..

    • Those who have been brought up hunting and identify that with nature/growth, or for culling, preservation of other species, preservation of ones land or alike reasons would not associate themselves with this type of website. This is aimed at corporate officers, who venture out of their city high-rises once a year to kill and thus destroy the very essence of which they went to view and interact with. Through allowing this sort of auction Ebay appears to promoting the hunting of an endangered animal, for no other reason then to watch a beautiful animal die. Are those who gain the hunt from the auction, desperately in need of food or protection? No. Then what? Because they have money to waste, and a needed outlet for their work during the weekdays. It may not be an original idea, but Ebay, why not auction a nature hike? Sure those who bid for it will not be able to say Hey everyone, I killed a wolf! but, wouldnt it be more humane for them to say I learnt how to survive in nature, alongside wolves?

    • It sickens me to see that humanity hasn't even learned its lesson. We have culled and destroyed, maimed and ate. Like in the Matrix we "are a virus". Though a goodly portion seek to help and heal, the money grubbing, policy making, minority population-majority power holding, business men, selective farming rancher stupidity, (I'm a farmer too so there :P), idiots don't seem to realize that they are destroying what we may never be able to show the new few generations. I have never seen a dodo bird, nor a tasmainine wolf. For through the actions of previous generations, I will never get to see one ever. I want to have something left to show my kids. Not a stuffed animal. Thanks so very much.
