This petition is has been created from the shocked reaction I and many others have felt towards the newly intended XBOX 360 dashboard overhaul. Microsoft claims it listens to the community when with this example it clearly hasnt on this occasion and any attempt to say it has is utter bull crap.

The petition is to keep the current XBOX 360 dashboard which features blades for each category of the XBOX 360 dashboard. Each of these blades are very easily and incredibly swiftly accessible, more so than the new poorly and somewhat PS3 / iTunes looking dashboard thats intended to make its way onto the console.

The XBOX 360 is a console for hardcore gamers and this is well proven with the sheer volume of XBOX LIVE members playing action games online to compete against one another. Putting in silly features such as avatars which seem to mimic Nintendos idea of a Mii is very disconcerting. Judging by the video demo at E3 it seems very slow and incredibly bland not to mention more like the menu of a media centre machine.

Dont make this silly mistake Microsoft, especially with a console thats been given much praise. Well buy a Nintendo if we want more casual gamers to be involved and/or feel deprived of the kiddy factor your console so rightfully lacks.

The XBOX 360 really is a gamers console and with the advent of the new dashboard it looks to invite mass slaughter on its reputation as one.
