We, the undersigned, as consumers and fans of rock music, wish to see Rush considered for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
We believe that Rush has earned a spot in the Hall of Fame for reasons including, but not limited to, the following:
--Rush has 22 consecutive gold records, and is fourth behind The Beatles, The Stones, and Kiss in all-time gold record acquisitions for a band. Fourteen of those albums have gone platinum.
--Rush has inspired such bands as Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, The Tragically Hip, Smashing Pumpkins, Primus, Queensryche, and many more.
--Rush's lineup has remained unchanged since their first major tour in 1974.
--Rush has consistently put out records that reflect their own artistic growth and change, without compromising the band's integrity for the sake of sales.
--Rush has a huge, worldwide fanbase.
--Rush has, with the exception of the Test for Echo "Evening with Rush" tour, always toured with opening acts in part to allow said acts the chance to play on "a fairly large tour" (as quoted by Alex Lifeson).
--Outside of Rush, each member has made his own contributions to the world of rock music, through production, outside musical efforts, guest appearances, and so forth.
--Rush consists entirely of men your children can look up to. No scandals, no embarrassing "National Enquirer" moments, nothing like that. Just really good music from generally decent human beings.
We believe that Rush has been sorely overlooked in the United States for far too long by the popular media and the critics. The Hall of Fame was founded to recognize outstanding achievements and contributions to the world of rock music. Inducting Rush will legitimize that claim by recognizing one band in particular that has contributed dramatically to the rock genre while continually preserving its integrity

- Good day. It is a shame that the best Canadian and one the world leading rock band of ALL TIME **RUSH** i still being ignored by the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Take the lead in this matter and bypass the normal way of inducting a band. Make RUSH a member NOW! No one would ever complain because for millions of people this band is synonymous with RockNRoll since the 70's. Don't forget that exceptions are part of this world. PLEASE CORRECT THIS INJUSTICE and welcome RUSH in "our" Hall.

- I don't understand what the giudelines the r&r hall of fame uses to make their decisions on who makes the grade and who does'nt. But, I guess you have to be anally retentive to be authorized to cast your vote on who you think is deserving and who is not. My god,the beastie boys! Are you friggin kiding me!!!!!!! A HARD CORE FAN SINCE 1976!!!!

- What a travesty. Alice Cooper is in. Rush has sold 10 times more records. I've been to 5 concerts and every one was sold out. Featuring a tremendous guitarist, a gifted bassist and the most prolific drummer ever, it is a travesty that Rush is not in the RNR Hall of Fame. Correct this injustice now!!

- Have been a fan for 30 years now. Took my son to his first concert and it was Rush, naturally. Incredible group, breathtaking shows, a real travesty if they aren't included in the RnR HoF.

- The fact that Rush is NOT in the R&R Hall of Fame, in my mind, challenges the legitimacy of the Hall of Fame. They have been a ground-breaking, commercially successful band for decades.

- Rushshould have been inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame long ago, since they have turned out to be a band so influential to so many musicians worldwide for such a long time. So in the end, without further ado, award them as they belong to be awarded! I missed them when I visited the RaRHoF in 2007, I really want to see them at my next visit in 20?? which actually could be 2012...
