Farscape is one of the best sci-fi series ever to be created. The news that Sci-Fi Channel has decided to opt out of it's commitment to season 5, despite it's good ratings and being one of Sci-Fi Channel's top shows, is deeply shocking and saddening to the Farscape and sci-fi community. Farscape deserves more than to be cut down in it's prime without even an ending to the story and we ask that the decision to end Farscape be re-considered or that Farscape be picked up by another network.

- Your planning to cancel Farscape?!?!? You can not possibly be serious?(talking to the people at Sci Fi that choose to dare try and knock Farscape out of the arena that is TV) This is one of the best shows I've ever scene, It's hard to believe it's a TV series with the amount of material and quality which is in it. When I first saw it I laughed, I thought *oh no, another sci-fi show in space, can't they quit impersonating Star Trek already.* But HELL, this show has nothing on Star Trek, or any other sci-fi show out there. It's in a complete class of it's own as far as acting/special effects/plotlines/character development go. Damn, I even did an entire study on Farscape in my Media and Production class in college summarizing why it's got a far better Target Audience Appeal and why so many more would be drawn to it. (hell want me to e-mail the study to you? I will you know, along with all the background info, essays, reports, and anything else that goes along with it.

- Please reconsider your decision to cancel Farscape. It is easily the best show on television, as evidenced by the two Saturn awards it has won as a series and the one Ben won for best actor. The characters on the show are real people, by that I mean they act like real people--they love, they hate, they make mistakes, they fight, etc.--which is more than most of the stock characters in sci fi shows do (just watch any episode of Star Trek in any of its incarnations--they are cookie cutter characters, fake). These characters pull you into the show and make you care about them, make you want to know what's going to happen next. That is a rare commodity on any television show, something that should be treasured, not thrown out. I can only ask that you reconsider your decision and keep this quality television program on the air. It is one of only a few shows I watch, and the only one that I willingly put aside everything else to watch without hesitation.
