Get 4 Kids Entertainment out of the Sonic the Hedgehog Franchise

Most people in the United States and the United Kingdom are fans of the Sonic the Hedgehog video games and the anime series Sonic X. However, we never get to see the best of Sonic X. 4 Kids Entertainment dubbed the anime into English. It aired on 4 Kids TV in 2003 up to 2007 in the United States, and it's currently airing on Toon Desiny. While in the United Kingdom, it airs late in the night at 3.00am on Jetix.

The only way that we can watch Sonic X in its original uncut version is by trying to watch the Japanese version. I think many of us watch it on YouTube. But I don't think this is right. Sonic X is an anime, like other anime series, it should be released uncut with Japanese and English languages as well as English subtitles. Viz Media or FUNiMation would do a good job of this! Viz Media is currently translating Naruto and Bleach, while FUNiMation is currently translating One Piece. One Piece was also destroyed by those of 4 Kids Entertainment.

Now with the games, Sega hired 4 Kids to do the English voices of the characters. Most of us fans hate this! Despite Sonic X finished, Sega still uses those of 4 Kids. It's not just the United States who have to put with these voices, it's the United Kingom as well! Little kids also buy the games, and I don't think they care about the voices, as us teenagers do! Destroying Sonic X is one thing, now they're destroying the games! The only voice artist doing a good job is Mike Pollock who voices Eggman. Bella Hudson is also doing a good job at voicing Blaze, and Pete Capella's also good at voicing Silver. But the other characters need their original and best voices back!

    • Please, please, PLEEEAAAASE change everyone's voices back. Cream sounds screechy and fake, Chris sounds gay, and Sonic sounds like a gayass faker. If there ever was an uncut sonic x DVD released with all the original voice actors, do you have any idea how many people would buy it? A LOT of people. All my friends and family think so too. Sonic does not deserve the voice 4Kids slapped on him, he deserves his original, AWESOME voice. This goes for the games too. I hated Sonic's voice in Sonic and the Secret Rings. It needs to be changed back, because little kids buy these games too, and this is NOT how Sonic should be remembered.

    • I haven't bought a sonic game since the release of SA2B for the simple reason that the old voices are way better. They ruined shadow for crying out loud. :'( As for Sonic X, the japanese version is so much better. Unfortunately its hard to find episodes with subtitles.

    • Yeah, 4Kids seriously needs to get out of the Sonic franchise. They've totally buchered it. As for Chris, if they ever redub Sonic X, he should be voiced by Haley Joel Osment.
