Pure Henna Petition

To:  Henna growers, manufactures and exporters.

We, the citizens of the world, petition henna growers, mills, manufactures, and exporters to stop adulterating henna and Mehndi (Lawsonia inermy) products including ground powder with PPD, colorants, preservatives, bleaches and other chemicals. We also petition the aforementioned parties to disclose the types of insecticides utilized on henna to people in the US, Canada and Europe as many pesticides have been banned in these countries yet continue to be used internationally. Adulterated, denatured and imitation
henna has led to blood and lead poisoning, permanent skin scarring and sensitization.
