Since the release of the new standalone expansion pack to the game F.E.A.R., entitled Perseus Mandate, a large community of players was hoping that the newest release would revive their favourite game. Many of them, including me, bought the expansion, enjoyed the singleplayer campaign and then hoped to enjoy the game even more in multiplayer. However, these expectations were only barely met.

The main problem with the multiplayer component is the lack of standalone server files, which should be available for everyone who would like to run a server. This is a major issue, since it practically prevents the community from expanding. There is no doubt, that the release of such files could bring much more deserved attention to this game, especially now, when it has Punkbuster software support (while the F.E.A.R. Combat edition lacks it), which is essential to prevent hack use and thus helps to enjoy the game to the fullest.

Because of this, we hope that the server files will be released in the nearest future. We are counting on you.
