Dear Ambassador Ilan Ben-Dov,

We are writing because we are deeply concerned over the current siege in Gaza which has claimed the lives of innocent civilians- both Palestinian and Israeli. We implore your government to call for an immediate ceasefire as the numbers of wounded and killed in Gaza have reached an unacceptable number. The unrestrained use of force which has claimed many innocent women, children and elderly also goes against the principles of international law, which provides for the safeguard of civilians in armed conflict.

We also hope that the Israeli government continues to allow urgent humanitarian aid and medical assistance to enter Gaza. Finally, we urge your government to consider making a concerted effort at diplomacy, where both parties are able to sit and negotiate, in order to arrive at a viable and permanent solution to a conflict that will lead to peace and stability in the Middle East.

Yours Sincerely,
