To:  President of the United States

Torrington, Connecticut native and legendary Abolitionist John Brown was born over 209 years ago, and hanged for treason December 12, 1859 for his attempt to free slaves.

If setting men free is treason; every right thinking American would today be guilty.

We seek the posthumous pardon of Abolitionist John Brown.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
