RPI students want a movie theater and performance venue at Proctor's Theater.

Downtown Troy doesn't offer enough for RPI students. RPI has a plan to demolish a cool old movie house a block away from the downtown dorms. There is a group that is trying to convince the RPI administration to let them renovate the theater and start showing films and having bands and other events at the theater. Such a venue would increase nightlife in downtown, give students something to do and make the area safer. We ask the administration to allow this theater to be renovated and to help provide a movie theater and performance venue for a better student life in Troy.
