We, the undersigned residents of Tennessee hereby petition the Tennessee General Assembly to pass legislation under Title 5-9-110 Animal Welfare to protect animal husbandry practices as pertains to dog breeding, protect dog ownership, and to pre-empt and repeal breed specific dog ordinances at city, and county levels in the state of Tennessee. Dog ownership is a personal property issue that is protected by both the U.S. and the Tennessee Constitutions.
