Horse Racing is Animal Abuse

Animal-rights groups have been pushing for an end to horse-racing for profit for at least 25 years, during which time at least 21 horses, including Chavez, Barbaro, and now Eight Belles have died while racing. Three horses died in one 2004 race alone. Riders are sometimes injured in collisions, but no riders have died in decades.







With this petition, we the People respectfully request that the United States government LEGALLY BAN ALL HORSE-RACING and list any such races as ANIMAL ABUSE, opening the door for legal charges to be filed against anyone who forces a horse to race to its death for entertainment and/or profit.
