Stop LG&E Rate Increase

To:  Kentucky Public Service Commission

The undersigned Kentucky customers of E.on (LG&E/KU) hereby oppose any rate increase to cover repair costs for the September 2008 windstorm. Such a rate increase would add to the already significant burden local residents are being forced to live with, and such an increase would continue on, long after the repairs are made. E.on should not receive the reward of larger profits through higher rates from our citizens to cover repairs that are supposed to be made regularly.

While we appreciate the employees of LG&E and the fine job the have done, we question the management at E.on and their business practices. The men and women who work diligently night and day to restore power to this city and keep us running are not the target of this petition. We are dissatisfied with the international conglomerate that seems primed to use this unfortunate event as an excuse to raise energy rates once again.
