Respect Michael Jackson!!

To:  The National Broadcasting Company, and the American Broadcasting Company

We, the undersigned, are fans of Michael Jackson and/or avid listeners of his music.

We are very disappointed with the way that Mr. Jackson has been portrayed by the media. We believe that the biased journalism that has been used and applied to recent documentaries concerning his personal life are simply not acceptable.

We also take offense to the fact that Mr. Jackson is regularly called such names as “Wacko Jacko,” “bizarre,” “crazy,” and “a pedophile” to name a few. First of all, Mr. Jackson’s legal name is Michael Joseph Jackson, and we are sure that he would appreciate being called by that name. Also, we would like it to be taken into consideration that Mr. Jackson, although never charged with any counts of pedophilia, is regularly called a pedophile, while people such as Woody Allen, who’s pedophiliac actions are well known, are praised and heralded.

Additionally, we find it odd and inappropriate that, at a time when the United States of America, and perhaps many countries of the world, are about to enter into war, that our media outlets continue to find it more important and appropriate to write stories about and air shows concerning a man who has never been formally charged of any wrongdoings, instead of giving their audiences information about our impending military actions.

We, the undersigned, pledge our support of Michael Jackson, and will continue to voice our displeasure with the media outlets of the world until they recognize Michael Jackson as, not only one of the greatest entertainers and innovators to ever live, but also, and more importantly, a human being with emotions and feelings.
