An outstanding filmmaker, Anthony Brownrigg, who wrote, did the cinematography, directing, editing, visual effects, and is also the lead actor in one of the most creative, imaginative movies I have seen in many years, called Red Victoria. The movie was screened at Texas Frightmare Weekend in February of 2008 in Grapevine, TX. Out of 10-12 movies screened, the film had the most promising trailer of all the others. Red Victoria also won the audience award for the entire convention. Red Victoria is already known and loved by thousands, and the name of the movie is what makes it so special, to the cast, crew, and all the fans.
The major issue at hand, is that Red Victoria is under new distribution with WellgoUSA, and the new distributor wants to change the name of the film to Writer's Cramp. While we do understand that it is your right, it does not fit with the movie and we don't understand the reasoning behind changing the name of a film, that is ultimately out there with so much recognition already. We do not believe it will be nearly as marketable with the new name! This would cause a need for new reviews, new interviews, new unnecessary editing, and new movie websites with dedicated forums, to include revisions made to 100+ websites and forums.
We the fans are urging you to reconsider the name change and leave it as Red Victoria, especially since there are sequels already in the works. We think the original name is what the movie is all about. So many of us connected with this movie as it is and we believe that changing it would be a huge mistake. The future of this movie will grow stronger than ever as Red Victoria!
There are so many websites with only positive reviews, and can be made available to you if you wish to view them. Thank you.
All in favor of keeping the movie with the name of RED VICTORIA, please add your name and a short comment(if you wish) to add your voice of support.
