To Candidates, Lawmakers and Politicians:
The community of mental health clients seeks human values and voluntary community services as supports for persons suffering the impacts of being labeled mentally ill in a society that disrespects and excludes them from polity and planning.

We endorse the materials at this website http://home.bellsouth.net/p/PWP-clientnet as potential strategies and philosophies for going beyond pseudoscience to real dialogues, offering human relationship and socioeconomic/political inclusion of clients as approaches to improving lives, the national economy and the mental health of a society in crisis.

Until the voices of the persons most affected by care are heard and involved in the shaping and delivery of mental health services, special and professional interests will continue to drain the national treasury with programs and approaches that waste taxpayer dollars and the lives of psychiatrically disabled persons whose contributions to society are blocked by current policy and practice.

Only community supports and full inclusion in planning and policy will make a mental health system responsive and responsible to the persons it supposedly service and release the untapped potential of labeled individuals to be productive, taxpaying citizens.

The people below, from many states, who have signed this message,want real dialogues with our caring society that will enable American mental health clients to participate as valued citizens towards improving their living conditions, shaping/delivering mental health services and using their untapped creativity to further the American values of freedom and enterprise.
