Paul Doucette, the drummer and now rhythm guitarist of Matchbox Twenty, set out while the band was on hiatus, to pursue his own musical direction. Through this, came his solo project, "The Break And Repair Method". Once before, has Paul gone off a label and had to survive as an unsigned artist. In the past year, he has signed with Cement Shoes Records.
Many fans, Matchbox Twenty fans and non-Matchbox Twenty fans alike, have come to enjoy and love the music of the Break And Repair Method. Paul has generously cycled through songs on his MySpace over the past few years, with songs such as "You Won't Be Able To Be Sad" and "The Most Somebody Could Know", with more recent songs such as "The City Is Bound To Us" and "Better Days", a song he did for the Nickelodeon film "Shredderman Rules".
It has been a while since Paul had announced the tracklisting and the completion of the album. The original release date offered is approaching and there is still no official word from Cement Shoes, officially, on their website. It is a united belief among fans of Paul Doucette and the Break And Repair Method, that this album should be released. It is a unique musical experience. It is unlike much of what you hear and it is something many people have come to love. Much more, it is a belief of the fans, that this music should not be kept from the light of day, but instead, should be allowed to be released and breathe, with the benefit of a widespread release.
Paul deserves this. The Break And Repair Method is a symbol of much hard work over the past few years, and because of various issues, it has never been released further than upon the MySpace Music page for the band. The least that could be done, is the release of this album, "Milk The Bee", which is the music of man and his team of musicians, who shed blood and sweat delivering a vision and creating a truly amazing musical experience.
Now, all that is requested, is the release of "Milk The Bee". Let it get out onto the world. Promote it. The fans have already served their part with the anticipation. All that is left, is to give back to the fans, and give back to Paul and the Break And Repair Method, because we all know they did nothing but work hard, but their heart and soul into this album.
