To:  Arizona Secretary of State Jan Brewer

Senator John McCain’s 2008 campaign for presidency has resorted to tactics that bring out the ugliest, most unhinged elements of American society. The rhetoric used by his campaign, and their advertisements for the campaign, are designed to stir racial hatred and xenophobia among the American people. Senator John McCain’s campaign has officially failed to pull these advertisements and denounce these tactics. It has defended this message as well as their supporter’s dangerous, violently tinged outcries as justified anger of mainstream Americans.
We, the undersigned Arizona residents and voters, are disgusted and disturbed by Senator John McCain’s campaign and feel that he no longer represents his constituents as a sitting United States Senator. The message of Senator John McCain’s campaign is not a message that we support and does not represent us as American citizens. We, therefore, no longer feel that Senator John McCain is representive of the residents and voters of Arizona, and wish to recall him from his seat in the United States Senate.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
