The Removal of Lil Mama from ABDC

This is a petition to remove Lil Mama from America's Best Dance Crew due to outlandish inappropriate remarks.On Sunday September 30, rapper Lil Mama judge for Randy Jackson's Presents America's Best Dance Crew, made transphobic remarks towards contestant Leyomi from Vogue Evolution. Leyomi's attitude that evening was not the most pleasant but Lil Mama has indeed crossed the line.

“Leiomy, come on. Your behavior…it’s unacceptable. I just feel that you always have to remember your truth. You were born a man and you are becoming a woman. If you’re going to become a woman, act like a lady. Don’t be a bird, like ‘Oh my god, I’m not doing this!’ You know what I’m saying? It gets too crazy and it gets confusing. You’re doing this for America. Even though you’re the face for transgenders, you’re the face of America right now with this group and it’s not about anybody else. It’s about y’all. You know what I’m saying? So do it for the team. Do it for the team.”

Completely inappropriate and disgusting. What does the fact that Leyomi is transgender have to do with her dancing or even her attitude? This is not the first time Lil Mama has made outrageous comments towards a person or group(s). Lil Mama does not stick to the character of the person or group(s) she constantly throws personal attacks at individuals spreading her own personal beliefs. This outlandish behavior is completely inappropriate in this setting and should not and would not be tolerated.

Last season when trying to give feedback to female group(s), one particular incident would be Fly Kicks performing their routine to Pon de Replay mix and Lil Mama commented on their attire. "No Homo" "Not on that gay shit, but I love the baggy look on you" Completely inappropriate! How is Lil Mama still on the show making outlandish remarks like this? I want more than an apology, I want her to be replaced. There are several individuals who are great dancers and critiques that will not dare cross this line and say such things, and to do it live is completely irresponsible.

I am personally genderqueer and I am deeply offended, this is not something that should be swept under the rug. Lil Mama should be removed from the equation immediately. Hopefully you will hear the voices of the many other concerned individuals who also will not tolerate ignorance. This not only concerns me but the other millions in the LGBT community as well.
