Our Future RI: Young Voters for Long-Term State Strategies |
To: Rhode Island General Assembly MembersWe’re in it for the long haul.
Rhode Island’s young adults care deeply about the long-term health of the state. We want to make sure that Rhode Island remains an attractive place for us to live, work, and raise our families.
The proposed budget cuts to education, healthcare, and affordable housing not only destroy the fabric of our communities, but also cripple the economic advancement of the state. While the cuts may seem to make sense in the short term, they end up costing the state more in the long run. Rhode Island can do better than these cuts.
It’s our communities, our state, our future.
As your constituent, I urge you to oppose any budget cuts that threaten our state’s future. Investing now in healthcare, housing, education and renewable energy means investing in jobs and a strong economy for Rhode Island’s future. It means that young people will stop being forced to leave our state and instead can help build a stronger Rhode Island.
Sincerely,
