STOP THE SHERMAN CELL TOWER

To:  Residents of Sherman

Mark and Ann Hawley at 32 Leach Hollow Road have given approval to AT&T to erect a cell tower on their property. THE TOWER WILL BE 175 FEET TALL AND VISIBLE FROM MANY SHERMAN NEIGHBORHOODS.

AT&T's official application will be submitted to First Selectman Andrea O'Connor this month.

IF APPROVED, AT&T AND OTHER CARRIERS WILL LIKELY NEED TO BUILD ADDITIONAL 'REPEATER' CELL TOWERS IN TOWN IN ORDER TO CARRY THE SIGNALS. THIS COULD AFFECT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD.

We find the Hawley's decision to be dismaying as it will irreparably change the scenic landscape and what our town stands for...forever.

It's estimated that Mr. Hawley will receive a 5-figure payment every month from AT&T, at the great expense of his neighbors.
