Keep Randolph-Macon Woman’s College an All Female College

The students, alumnae, and friends of Randolph-Macon Woman's College and community, do hereby demand the keeping of that which has made us what we are. We request that a different plan be set that will allow time to find the needed students to help support Randolph-Macon Woman's College. We feel that the decisions that the Strategic Planning Steering Committee and the Board of Trustees commenced with were unjust. A severe lack of time and information was given to the students and alumnae of the college. We wish for a time extension on the strategic plan for making the school coeducational. In doing so, a request of one year will be made to allow the students and alumnae to form an alternative plan that will bring in the needed people to keep the school alive. If upon one year, the students and alumnae cannot find an alternative to becoming coeducational, then the necessary measures shall be taken by the college to ensure its success.

If unable to meet with success, students request that the change be delayed until the class of 2010 has graduated and the incoming class of 2011 be informed of the possibility that the college they are applying to might become a coeducational during their school term prior to or immediately following application.

We, the undersigned, hereby commit to pledge our support for Randolph-Macon Woman’s College to remain an All Female College.
