Release 'Roxette MTV Unplugged' on DVD

Dear Roxette Fans, music lovers,

Our favourite band, the Swedish pop-duo called Roxette was asked by MTV to perform in their famous acoustic concert series, MTV Unplugged. They were the first non-native English speaking band to be invited. Roxette’s performance was recorded in 1993 at the Stockholm Circus. MTV Europe has broadcast the concert a few times; however, it hasn’t been on air for a very long time.

Most Roxette fans are eager to see and own this recording, however, there’s almost no possibility for them to do so. Besides a few old VHS recordings, the Roxette Unplugged cannot be found anywhere.

This is why we have started this petition. We think that a possible release of the Roxette MTV Unplugged on DVD would be a great idea – a real gift for Roxette Fans, and, of course, income for the record company. We aim to convince EMI, Roxette’s record label, to release the MTV Unplugged concert on DVD. Such concerts are quite common to be released on DVDs, such as Latin pop queen Shakira’s recent MTV Unplugged release.
