Rescue the Queen of Swords

Fans of the Queen of Swords
in support of the renewal of the series for a second season

We, the fans, have heard that the Queen of Swords will not be renewed for a second season. In response to this disheartening news, we are petitioning the decision-makers at Fireworks Productions to reconsider their decision and give the show a chance to prove itself. As mentioned above, many things have worked against the series:
- little or no promotion: most of the forum members stumbled upon the show
while channel-surfing
- poor timeslots on many stations: many fans report their stations run the show at 12:30 am
or around 2 pm. And in Canada, the series is placed against the hockey at 7pm Saturdays,
almost a guarantee for low ratings
- pre-emptions and irregular scheduling: during the important first months of the series, the
show was pre-empted, re-runs were shown, the series was run in a different order to what
was advertised

From Fireworks' Mission Statement: "Our product is not one dependent on bureaucracy, form or procedure, not one based on financial structure and return on investment analysis. Our product is people, talent, concepts, imagination, creativity, humour, drama and individuality."

If you practice what is written in your Mission Statement, you may see that with the Queen of Swords, you have the all of the above elements for a successful series. We, the petitioners, ask that you renew the series for a second season.
