The recent media reports have brought to light that the actual cost of delivering an SMS in India is less than a Paisa. So how can the operators charge 50 or 100 times the cost (avg). This petition demands that the TRAI must immediately intervene in this money minting and must slash the SMS rates as early as possible to as low as possible (surely, considering enough profit for the operators, but not thousands percent profit).
