Improve Campus Dining at RU

To:  Radford University Dining Services

We, the undersigned, feel that the current on-campus dining options available do not adequately meet the needs and desires of the student body and faculty of Radford University.

There are over 9,200 students that attend Radford, many of whom utilize on-campus dining as their primary source of food and drink while they are in school. However, there are several problems with the current system that are extremely frustrating for those with meal plans and are major deterrents to getting a meal plan for those who do not already have one:

•The hours of operation are extremely limited, which forces people to choose from only a few restaurants.

•This leads to VERY long lines at peak hours when no other restaurants are open.

•There are no late night dining options aside from fast food.

•Extremely limited variety of healthy/organic dining choices, as fast food is often one of the only options available in the evenings and on weekends.

•High Cost of meal plans and almost no accountability of where money is really going


We want to see that RU Dining Services recognizes and understands the actual dining habits of the Radford University community and that theses issues be addressed as soon as possible.
