Ban of the game Solitaire from computer systems |
To: Operating system vendors and games distributorsThe game Solitaire is destroying lives on a grand scale across America. Young and old alike have fallen victim to its appeal, lured onto a dark, unforgiving road that corrupts the minds of all those who attempt it. Therefore, I and the undersigned request that you cease distributing this game, for the sake of our country's youth.
The game Solitaire is intended to be played alone—in fact, this can be extrapolated from the name itself, which in English means “solitary”, synonymous with such dark words as “alone”. The fact that a game is meant to be played alone and have no impact on how one must act upon the outside world is, in fact, ludicrous. All other games have a vastly huge impact on the real world and how one must act and interact in the streets with other people, and it is distressing to think that there exists a game that people can play without gaining applicable knowledge and skill-sets that they'll undoubtedly use.
Being a game that does not affect people's interactions on a daily level as all popular, modern games do, what does the game teach instead? Organizational skills and numerical patterns. With all due respect, this is the job of Kindergartens to teach, and should not be an exercise practiced an hour or more a day by an employee on his or her lunch break. There is no reason to waste time like that, and no reason to let people have the option to do so.
If politicians knew just what the game Solitaire does to impressionable minds, no doubt they would advocate banning it outright—and with good reason. It is not enough to simply restrict this game from the youth, which have easy access to it from any open computer or if they are given the chance to become accustomed to it they can play it with any deck of cards, but it has to be inaccessible to all people who cannot be trusted to make their own valid decisions. By that, I mean all people. However, I doubt politicians will be very swayed by this argument against Solitaire, as many have likely been corrupted by it to unimaginable levels. Even Jack Thompson may fail to see what dangers Solitaire possesses, despite his stance against video games that are destroying America. Shame on him if this is the case.
And so the undersigned request to all operating system vendors and game distributors or anyone who might think they have the authority for this: get rid of Solitaire from your systems so we may all be able to focus our lives on games such as Grand Theft Auto IV and return to gaining the useful knowledge that will help us shape the world in utilizing the game's content on our nation's streets and with everyone we interact with as Americans must do every day. It is not enough to let a few special cases of isolationists, who let themselves become overly warped by this satanic game, fly under the radar. It must be stopped from even those who may be able to responsibly play it. The reason being is because responsibility is a lie and anyone who says they are responsible is a liar. I have found the game's effect on our population has gone on far too long, so I'm doing the responsible thing and creating this petition for consideration.Sincerely,
