Dear channel 4, I am part of a campaign to bring back Brookside close on TV. There is a growing desire from Liverpudlians and other Brookie fans across the nation, as well as all over the world. We all miss Brookside. Our campaign is to raise this issue, so that it becomes noticed, and the powers that be will revive this program. Brookside in its heyday was the top soap, bringing to light everyday problems, which everybody could relate to. It helped many people through their problems when a storyline related to issues they too were facing.
So there are several soaps on our screens right now, but lets face it, they all followed Brookside's inspiration, which has made them into the success they all are today. If Brookside had not been moved from its 8pm slot on Channel 4, the chances are we would all be still watching this fantastic depiction of Liverpool life today.
So I sign this petition to channel 4, to have my voice heard and to show channel 4 that there is a demand for this classic soap to be put back on our screens what has given some of the nations best actors such as Rickey Tomlinson and Sue Johnson.
