SBS needs more attention

To:  U.S Senate and The House of Representatives

I am very, very concerned about the child abuse laws throughout the USA. I believe that shaken baby syndrome is an over looked form of child abuse. I would like more awareness brought to SBS. As of right now, hospitals are not required to educate parents about SBS before they bring there new baby's home from the hospital and childcare providers are not required to know about SBS when they become licensed childcare providers. ALL hospitals here in the United States should educate parents about SBS BEFORE they bring there children home from the hospital, and ALL childcare providers need to under go an SBS awareness class BEFORE they become licensed providers. This WILL drastically decrease the number of SBS cases and will give are children a chance at life. I personally, have read about 300 cases of SBS this year, and with every single one of them, it was either a parent or a childcare provider that committed these hanis acts upon these innocent baby's. Most of these acts can be prevented with education. Please, please sign this petition to help save a little ones life.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
