Boycotting of the Removal of Art from Duval County Public Schools in North-Eastern Florida

The Duval County Schoolboard has recently announced that art is to be taken out of public school curiculums in Jacksonville, Florida due to budget cuts from lowering taxes. This has outraged many people because there are many other programs and classes they can target, such as physical education. School is already boring enough to kids. For many, art is the highlight of the day. Drop-out rates are sure to heighten as well as suicide rates from lack of artistic education amoung young children. Without art there would be more depression and other mental illnesses because the need to express is imparitive amoung humans. If you are a teacher, parent, or student, I'm sure you would agree that taking out art classes would be a huge mistake. Don't let this happen to Jacksonville's children. They deserve the right to freedom of expression.
