The Petition To Make Cricket Watchable Again |
To: Lalit Modi, IPL, Telecom and Regularity Authority of IndiaWe, the cricket watchers of India, hereby revolt against substandard television coverage and mediocre production values as currently seen on SET Max's horrendously bad coverage of the Indian Premiere League. We demand that commentators no longer be cut-off mid sentence to show cellphone commercials and that EVERY BALL of a cricket match be shown on TV. The broadcast should make room for advertisements, not vice versa.
Let’s take it to the streets, flood those inboxes, forward it to the world and beyond. Let’s build up a helluva argument and make these complacent channels shape up. Let’s not give up watching the game, but insist on seeing it the best way. Let’s clean up their act and maybe even boycott the most over-exposed products on television. Let’s get hundreds of thousands of signatures, and then storm the corporate citadel. Let’s force them to hear our yell.
We want to watch our cricket. We want the world and we want it... now!
Sincerely,
