We recognize that Astoria's population has been growing over the last decade. This growth requires additional investment in infrastructure, not devastating cuts. Cutting our W train is regressive step that hurts the hardworking residents of our neighborhood. Our hardworking middle-class and working class residents rely on this train to get to work and get their children to school. Removing the W train from operation would be an undue burden on our community and we are firmly opposed to this cut!

Additionally, cutting our Student Metrocards and Access-A-Ride services is an attack on our most vulnerable populations. Our children, our seniors and our disabled neighbors deserve better!

We stand together as a community against these cuts and urge the MTA to save the W train and to save the Student Metrocards and Access-A-Ride services.
