Shaman King

I would like to start out by saying that, no matter how small this may seem, it is of great importance to us who love anime. Recently, we have found out that “Shaman King” has been licensed by 4Kids Entertainment. Who, in the anime community, has a terrible reputation for taking the shows we love, and ruining them in the worst way possible. We are hoping to put a stop to the butchering of Shaman King, before it starts. Do not let 4Kids tell you that they know what kids want, because we are kids, and we know what we want. We plead with 4Kids, to not change the opening song and sequences of “Shaman King”. The song “Oversoul” by Megumi Hayashibara, is a beautiful song, but is still upbeat, and will appeal to both boys, and girls. It may be in a foreign language, but it will encourage children to try and figure out what it means, helping them learn about Japan, and it’s culture at the same time. For this same reason, we wish for the names of the main characters to not be changed. Yoh Asakura, Manta Oyamada, and Anna Kyoyama. Stay true to the story, and you will have many more viewers. There are many more fans of anime then you think. We promise to boycott the show, if you do not comply with our needs. Thank you, and we hope you will support our cause of conserving Shaman King, and keeping it as close to the original as possible.
