Save Windows Vista - Dump Windows 7 (For Now) |
To: Microsoft CorporationMicrosoft's PC Operating System Windows Vista has been designed, programmed, and released, and many PC users have switched to said OS from previous versions of Windows (such as XP, 2000, ME, etc.) in hopes of having a more reliable operating system, as Microsoft promised Vista would be.
However, Vista has many flaws, which would take too much time to list entirely.
To name a few:
-Vista is a very unstable OS; many users complain of it crashing at seemingly random times throughout its use.
-The time it takes to boot up a Vista machine is unbearable.
-It seems that Vista is compatible with very few software programs, and even Microsoft-made games and other programs will not function without errors.
-Some useful features that Windows XP has have been stripped from Vista, such as the limited audio editing functions of Sound Recorder.
Despite knowing of these flaws, Microsoft intends to release an entirely new Windows OS within a year or so, called Windows 7.
We, the undersigned, believe this tis an outrage, as the majority of us have already purchased Windows Vista from Microsoft, and must deal with its aforementioned flaws.
We hereby request that Microsoft cease any and all work on Windows 7, until they can fix most (if not all) of the major flaws with Windows Vista, first.
We understand that there will be some problems that might be difficult to fix, and that's fine. But if Microsoft has the time and resources to produce 7, then they should have ample time/resources to fix Vista.
We find it unfair to buy a new product that promises to exceed expectations, only to be let down when it doesn't, and then be stuck waiting for the occasional software patch while Microsoft focuses heavily on their next product which promises to do the same things the previous one did, only better (which honestly isn't saying much).Sincerely,
