We, the undersigned, stress the importance of public awareness of the Holocaust and demand it to become a mandatory part of the curriculum of both Scotland and Northern Ireland.

It is irresponsible to leave both children or adults uneducated and ignorant about the Nazi's systematic mass murder of approximately six million European Jews as well as millions of people in other groups, including, besides others, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities and homosexuals during World War II. To prevent these horrific events from being forgotten, it is absolutely necessary to make the teaching of the Holocaust mandatory in Scotland's and Northern Ireland's schools. Please help to prevent history from repeating itself by making the Holocaust a mandatary topic in both Scotland's and Northern Ireland's curriculum.
