Save Sharona Fleming

We, the signed individuals of this petition, sincerely request that NBC Universal, parent company of USA Network, choose in good faith to extend and renegotiate, if necessary, the terms of the current contract for Bitty Schram to star as "Sharona Fleming" in the Emmy-winning USA original series "Monk."

"Monk" is a terrific show not just because of Tony Shalhoub's performance, but also because of the comedic and wonderful chemistry among the three lead actors: Mr. Shalhoub, Bitty Schram, and Ted Levine. It won't be the series everyone loves without any or all of those actors or their great characters. Ms. Schram consistantly delivers her best performances through her outstanding role as Adrian Monk's assistant, confidant and friend, and her recent Golden Globe nomination echoes these sentiments.

We feel it would be a mistake, and not in the best interest of USA Network and NBC Universal to release Ms. Schram from her contract and role within the series. We appreciate your consideration of our thoughts and this request
