Is Singapore's IPhone 3G priced unreasonably? |
To: SingtelThe petition is aimed to Singtel, the exclusive distributor of IPhone 3G, to better price the IPhone 3G which i believe is unreasonable at its current pricing. They are currently offering the IPhone 3G with prices which is almost double of the recommended retail price set by Apple, which is US$299. Being set at SG$728 to upgrade/use a current plan which is 18 months old, the price is just madness. With Singapore's mobile phone penetration rate of more than 122.5%, i doubt there are people who wants to get another plan just for the IPhone 3G, which is "cheaper".
with Apple corp trying to break 10million IPhone 3G target by year end, i believe something have to be done to stop Telecom operators to cash in on apple fans who have been loyal to apple.
Being deprived of IPhone since its launch, something has to be done by Apple to stop operators from making use of the hype of the product to "manipulate" the market..Sincerely,
