Make DNA tests mandatory!!

I feel that it would be great if President George Bush passed a new law making a DNA test mandatory after every birth. There are too many children born into this world that doesn’t have the knowledge of their true biological fathers. The DNA test must be completed within 30 days of birth with results given to the mother and all potential fathers that will be tested. [Current laws do not provide men with a means to challenge paternity after 60 days nor is the mother required to tell the guy that someone else could be the father.]

I have seen a case were a mother let over 25 years pass before she told her daughter that the man who she thought was her father really wasn’t. In the process, she hurt her daughter, the suspected father, and all the siblings that the woman thought she had. The mother caused lots of confusion to 2 generations of people just because she was dishonest on her child’s birth certificate.

I have seen similar cases to that of women collecting child support from men who is not the biological father and the mother is aware of it.

Getting an automatic DNA test will also solve many other problems like; when the actual biological father denies his children just so he can get out of the responsibility of supporting his child, or when the father denies his children because he has so much animosity towards the mother.

There are thousands of confused children who are deceived about their true biological fathers everyday. I remember having an assignment in elementary school where I had to trace my family tree. How would today’s children trace their family tree without a bunch of question marks on the branches?

If the mother doesn’t know who the biological father is because she’s been with so many men in the last 9-10 months, then she has to get at least 3 of her sexual partners within the conceived time frame tested.

I also feel that the law will help mature many irresponsible men & women in committed a relationship that has a habit of cheating. They will know that they can’t cover up conceiving a child from their one-night stands or reoccurring affairs because a DNA test tells the truth.

This new law will possibly hurt many marriages and relationships because of dishonesty, but in the long run, knowledge is given to the child of their biological father. I feel that all children should at least have the option to know who their biological father is. I am a 22 year-old straight female, so please don't think I'm female bashing. I am not accusing all women (including myself) of cheating on their husbands or being too promiscuous. I know that there are many women and men who are faithful in their monogamous marriages and relationships; but then again, there are still those who are not. No one but God knows who are in honest marriages or relationships, so therefore I feel that everyone (including myself) should take a mandatory DNA test after they have a child.

If this petition sounds weird to you, look at those talk shows, and court TV shows on your television. You will have a better understanding of this petition afterwards. If you don’t believe what you see on television, go to www.Paternityfraud.com and you will see “real” people stating how paternity fraud can hurt and tear apart a family.

For those of you who agree with me, please sign this petition. There are a large percentage of fatherless children born into this world everyday. We have to stop this nonsense today. If you have a different opinion and you don’t agree, I understand. I am open to getting respectful “emails” about your opinions, but please don’t post them on the board. That section is for those who agree with the petition.

If this petition offends you in anyway, then I apologize. My only motive of writing this petition is to benefit the future children of the United States.
