Dae Jang Geum (aka Jewel in the Palace) is based on the life story of Jang Geum, a real Korean historical figure who was the first and only woman to serve as head physician to the King. The drama has swept so many Asian countries by storm, I believe it will prove to be a great success in the UK.
Together, we can get BBC to air Dae Jang Geum. Not only will that benefit Dae Jang Geum and other Asian dramas; but for Asian culture in general, which will be much more widely appreciated.
