A petition to express a lack of public confidence in Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper

We, the undersigned citizens of Canada, wish to express our lack of confidence in Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his government. Mr. Harper, through his many actions, including the proroguing of Parliament, the appointment of 18 Senators, the appointment of a Supreme Court Justice without consultation as he had promised, the numerous budget leaks in advance of the January 2009 budget and his failure to obey his own election law, has demonstrated an inability to govern, based on sound principles of governance. In short, we feel Mr. Harper can no longer be trusted. His choice is clear – resign and let someone else lead the Conservative Party of Canada. We ask Stephen Harper to step aside now for the good of Canada.
