To: Nightspot/club operators in Singapore

We are appalled and dismayed that transgender women are being singled out for discrimination at various nightspots/clubs in Singapore.

We are appalled and dismayed that transgender women are being denied access to nightspots/clubs on the basis of the "Sex" on their identity cards.

We are appalled and dismayed that transgender women are being denied access to nightspots/clubs on the basis of the club management's ability to "spot" their "masculine features".

We are appalled and dismayed that transgender women are sneered at, yelled at and publicly humiliated at nightspots/clubs.

We are appalled and dismayed that the rights of transgender women are seen as less important than those of their fellow Singaporeans.

We are appalled and dismayed that you don't bother to investigate transgender women's complaints of discrimination, but instead lazily assert that they were probably "sloppily dressd, skimpily dressed or unruly".

We are appalled and dismayed at your double standards.

We are appalled and dismayed that transgender women are not allowed to work and play on an equal footing with their fellow Singaporeans.

We, the undersigned, call on you to:

1) End all forms of discrimination against transgender women, regardless of whether they have undergone sexual reassignment surgery or not

2) Publish your discriminatory policies prominently on the door if you cannot suppress your urge to discriminate against transgender women. If you dare to discriminate against transgender women, be brave enough to announce it
