Bring Back Sailor Moon!

This is a petition to bring back Sailor Moon to Cartoon Network.

For the past year and a half, since the "cancellation" Sailor Moon, I have been dissatisfied with the current Anime programs on Cartoon Network.

Before a certain show called Dragonball Z hits the airwaves, Sailor Moon premiered on Cartoon Network bringing it its' first ever ratings hit. It captivates audiences’ young and old alike and became one of the network’s first hit series.

However, over time, Cartoon Network had dumped a wonderfully entertaining magical girls show which was filled with warmth, charm, and underlined with values of love, friendship, loyalty, and family in exchange for mindless violent testosterone-driven male-leading programs like Dragonball Z, which the network, despite receiving its' highest ratings ever, had blatantly overplayed and over killed the show time and again and place it in the majority of its' signature block, Toonami, to please the ad nusuem. They believed a grim, violent power-fest liked DBZ is better than a sweet, beautiful enchanted piece like Sailor Moon is better for its block.

The network's signature afternoon action block Toonami rather have a lineup that is laced with cat-fights (Tenchi Muyo!), Giant Robots (Zoids), brutal super-powered fist fights (Dragonball Z), and hard Sci-Fi superheroes with a semi-dark tone (Batman Beyond).

Secondly, other than the Powerpuff Girls and the female leads from Justice League, Cartoon Network needs more female protagonists to secure variety for the network. And that the network cannot always rely on violent, male-driven action shows to prove that they are the foundation of introducing Japanese animation to the North American mainstream.

If Cartoon Network has the time, I would also like to suggest abandoning the Saturday DBZ block for an alternative 2 hour Anime block WITH back-to-back episodes of Sailor Moon and back-to-back episodes for Gundam Wing, which has also never been seen for a long period of time.

So I would invite Sailor Moon fans across North America and the world to sign a petition to bring back Sailor Moon on Cartoon Network.

The Sailor Scouts would appreciate it.
